Manually Importing Clients into OneShop

Updated over 11 months ago

I - IMPORT TAB

Within the Import tab of One Shop, there are numerous functions available, including the capability to upload clients who are currently not part of your OneShop system. This is especially handy if they haven't been entered into your point-of-sale system, or if you're initiating their creation without direct integration from the point of sale.

Furthermore, you have the option to add these clients to an outreach list, enabling your team to engage with them individually if you're utilizing our client-tailoring platform.

Additionally, if you possess written confirmation to opt clients in for receiving marketing messages outside of OneShop, you can also opt them in to receive text messages within the platform.

II - DOWNLOAD

To proceed, you'll want to download the OneShop template for uploading. Just click on the export button, and that will prompt the download of a file containing the necessary headers.

At this point you will fill out the OneShop Excel form to import into OneShop.

The process involves capturing the client's first name, last name, email, and phone number. Additionally, you have the option to tag the customer and add any relevant notes, especially if they are local.

You have the flexibility to either fill in the entire row with the necessary client information or import multiple rows from another dataset. To identify an existing customer within the system, ensure that they have a phone number or email associated with their profile. This identification method allows the system to locate and match customers efficiently.

You can add additional details such as tags, notes, or any other pertinent information to the client's profile. Otherwise, the system will create a basic profile for them within OneShop.

III - UPLOAD FILE TO ONESHOP

To proceed, you'll want to load the customer file by selecting it. Simply click on the option to choose the file, and then navigate to the location where your customer file is stored. Once selected, the file will be loaded into the system for processing.

After selecting the file, the system will load the specific row containing the customer details. From there, you can proceed by choosing the appropriate store location for the customer.

You need to choose a location, and it can also just be the "All" location to put it at the top level for the company.

If the customer exists at a certain location, they will not be moved.

If you select "Opt In", this will opt them into marketing text message communications.

**NOTE - THIS SHOULD ONLY BE DONE IF YOU HAVE WRITTEN DOCUMENTED PERMISSION FROM THE CUSTOMER SUCH AS FROM ANOTHER TEXT MARKETING PROGRAM**

IV - ENCOUNTERING ERRORS

Encountering Errors: Troubleshooting Solutions

If there are any errors encountered during the saving process, the system will notify you and provide guidance on how to resolve them. You can easily rectify errors by either deleting the problematic rows or editing them directly using the pencil icon. This ensures a smooth and efficient data upload process.

If errors occur upon saving, the system will notify you of the issue and provide instructions on how to resolve it. You can either delete the problematic entry or use the edit option, represented by the pencil icon, to make necessary corrections.

VI - SAVE

Once all the necessary actions are completed, simply click on "Save," and the customer will be successfully imported into the system.
