How to Create Automations in OneShop

Quickly set up automated messages to engage new and returning customers with rewards and check-ins using OneShop’s Automation Builder.

1. Navigate to the Automation Builder

  • Log in to OneShop.

  • From the left-hand menu, go to Automations.

  • Click Create Automations to enter the builder.


2. Choose a Pre-Built Automation Type

You’ll see four common automation templates:

  • New Customer – Welcome message after first purchase.

  • Win Back (31/63/92 days) – Messages after a customer hasn’t shopped in 31, 63, or 92 days.

  • Purchase Check-In – Simple check-in message after a purchase (no reward).

Click the automation card to expand and view the details.


3. Customize the Reward and Message Delay

  • Choose a reward type:

    • Dollars Off – Auto-applied in POS (Lightspeed, Shopify).

    • Custom – e.g., “10% off” or “Buy one get one.”

  • Adjust bonus validity (e.g., 14 days).

  • Set the message delay (e.g., 3 days after event).

Click Edit Further to customize in more detail.


4. Edit the Automation Message and Email

Inside the detailed editor:

  • Preview both email and SMS.

  • Modify the subject line, body copy, or reward.

  • Add an image if desired.

  • Confirm the default store address displays correctly for customers with multiple locations.


5. Add and Activate the Automation

  • Once satisfied, click Add Selected.

  • The automation will be added to your main automation list in OneShop.

  • Navigate back to Automations, locate the newly added flow, and click Publish to activate it.

Repeat this for any other automation you wish to enable.
