How to Create and Use Templates in OneShop

Create reusable message templates for broadcasts or 1:1 communication in OneShop to streamline team-wide messaging.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

1. Navigate to the Templates Page

  • Log into your OneShop account.

  • Go to the Templates section from the main navigation.

2. Create a New Template

  • Click “Create Template.”

  • Fill in the following fields:

    • Title: Give your template a clear, recognizable name (e.g., In-Store Event Invite).

    • Description: Briefly describe its use case (e.g., “Use this for weekend promotions.”).

    • Store Access: Choose whether this template is for:

      • All stores in your network, or

      • Specific store(s) (select which ones).

    • Applies To:

      • Broadcasts

      • One-to-One Communication

      • Both

Click OK to proceed.

3. Design the Template Content

  • Text Message:
Enter the message you want to send, just like in a typical broadcast or 1:1 message.

  • Email:
Use the OneShop email designer to lay out your email — including images, formatting, and merge fields.

  • Handwritten Letter:
(Only appears if template is set for 1:1 communication.)

4. Save and Use Your Template

Once your message content is designed:

  • Click Save to store your template.

  • It is now available for use when:

    • Creating a new broadcast

    • Sending a 1:1 message

    • Need to reuse a common campaign structure

Simply select the template while composing your message to pre-fill the content.

5. Cloning a Template (Optional)

  • If you'd rather not start from scratch, you can clone an existing template.

  • Cloning copies the filters, message design, and settings — perfect for modifying a similar campaign.
