Designing Emails with Saved Blocks in OneShop

Easily create reusable headers, footers, and content blocks in OneShop’s Email Editor for faster, consistent email design.

Updated over 2 months ago

1. Access the Email Editor

  • Scroll down to the Email section of your campaign.

  • If no design has been added yet, click the yellow “Design Email” button.

  • If you're editing a previous email (e.g., from a basic broadcast), click “Edit HTML Email” to enter the designer.

2. Understand Rows and Blocks

  • In OneShop, emails are built using rows (also referred to as blocks).

  • Rows are the base structure of your email and can include one or more columns.

  • You drag content types (like text, images, buttons) into these rows to build your design.

3. Create and Save Custom Blocks

  • Customize any section (e.g., a header, footer, or image layout**) by editing it on the canvas.

  • Once happy with the design:

    • Click Save on the selected row or block.

    • Give it a descriptive name (e.g., “Header - Fall 2025”).

    • Add tags if desired to group similar blocks.

4. Reuse Saved Blocks in Future Emails

  • Access your Saved Blocks from the right-hand panel in the email designer.

  • Drag any saved block into your new or existing email to reuse that component instantly.

  • This is ideal for frequently used designs like branded headers, store footers, or standard promo sections.

5. Build Efficiently with a Modular Approach

  • Over time, develop a personal library of saved headers, footers, product rows, CTA sections, etc.

  • Use these blocks like email building bricks to quickly create new campaigns without starting from scratch.

6. Best Practices

  • Save time by organizing your blocks using consistent naming and tags.

  • Standardize branding by always using the same header and footer across campaigns.

  • Consider creating blocks for:

    • Seasonal headers

    • Different store locations

    • Promotional banners

    • Social media footers
