1. Export Loyalty Data from Previous Provider
Access your former loyalty provider and export your customer data with essential information:
First and last names.
Email and/or phone number (identifier).
Current point balance, visits, and any loyalty tags (e.g., VIP status).
Tip: Perform the migration during off-peak hours to minimize disruptions.
2. Download OneShop’s Loyalty Template
In OneShop, go to the Loyalty Programs section and click the Download Template button to obtain the migration file.
Open the template file in Excel or another spreadsheet tool.
3. Prepare Your Data for Import
Copy Data into OneShop Template: Transfer data from your previous loyalty export into the corresponding fields in the OneShop template:
First Name, Last Name: Add these for reference, even if using email or phone number as the primary identifier.
Tags: Include any important tags from the previous program (e.g., “VIP” or “New Customer”).
Birthday Format: Enter birthdates in MM/DD/YYYY format (e.g., 07/21/1990).
Current Points and Visits: Add the latest point and visit totals under “Loyalty Points” and “Loyalty Visits.”
Lifetime Points and Visits:
For historical data, add Lifetime Loyalty Points (e.g., 4000 points) and Lifetime Loyalty Visits (e.g., 12 visits) to track a full customer engagement record.
4. Calculate Visit-Based Points (For Box Programs)
If migrating a box-based program, divide total points by visits to assign equal points across visits.
5. Save and Import the File into OneShop
Once data entry is complete, save the file and proceed with importing it into OneShop to activate the new loyalty program with your migrated data.
This method ensures a seamless transition of loyalty program data, preserving customer points and visits for uninterrupted rewards in OneShop.
