Creating Broadcasts in OneShop App 📹

This guide walks you through creating and managing broadcasts to subscribers in the OneShop platform.

Updated over 8 months ago

1. Navigate to the Campaigns Page

  • Open the OneShop app and go to the Campaigns page on the menu bar.

  • Select Create Broadcast to start a new message campaign.

2. Audience Scope

  • Admins: Broadcast messages can be sent to all subscribers at a store or company level.

  • Associates: Can send broadcasts to their specific clientele, if applicable.

  • Subscriber Definition: A subscriber is any customer who has opted in via text or email.

3. Set Subscriber Options

  • Total Subscribers: At the top, you’ll see the total subscriber count, segmented by text and email opt-ins.

  • Toggle Between Lists:

    • Text (e.g., 143 subscribers)

    • Email (e.g., 1309 subscribers)

  • Prioritize Communication Type: By default, text is prioritized over email when both are available.

4. Filter Subscribers (Optional)

  • Filtering Options: Customize your audience by filtering based on:

    • Customer names, phone or email status.

    • Purchase history (e.g., within a specific date range).

    • Brand, color, or size preferences.

    • Loyalty points or visit frequency.

  • Confirming Filters: Click Confirm to apply filters. The top number will recalculate based on the filtered list.

5. Estimate Text Credits

  • At the bottom, OneShop will display the estimated credits required for the broadcast.

  • If you run low on credits, contact your OneShop representative to purchase more.

6. Create the Broadcast Message

  • Title: Add a descriptive title, e.g., VIP Outreach.

  • Template: Select a preset template or design a custom message.

  • Avoid Over-Contacting: By default, clients contacted in the last 24 hours are excluded from receiving the message. Toggle this option on to include them if needed (e.g., for multiple broadcasts in a day).

7. Choose Sender Information

  • Sender Name: Choose a sender name, visible to the customer (e.g., "OneShop").

  • Sender Email: Use an authenticated email for responses (ensure it is active and monitored).

8. Add Loyalty Bonuses or Promotions

  • Eligibility: Set criteria, such as clients who spent over $5,000.

  • Bonus Types:

    • Dollar Discount: E.g., $20 off.

    • Custom Reward: Options include percentage discounts or “Buy One, Get One Free.”

  • Bonus Duration: Set a valid date range for the bonus (e.g., valid for one week).

9. Compose the Broadcast Message

  • Message Format: Choose between:

    • Plain Text: Simple, email-style message.

    • Designed Email: Custom design with logos, colors, and styles.

  • Saving: Save drafts periodically to avoid data loss.

10. Testing the Broadcast

  • Send Test: Test the message by entering email addresses or phone numbers to send previews to yourself or team members.

  • Verify Appearance: Check that the message displays as intended before sending.

11. Schedule or Send the Broadcast

  • Send Now: Click Send Broadcast to send immediately.

  • Schedule for Later: Select a future date and time for the broadcast.

  • Confirmation: After scheduling, the broadcast moves to “scheduled mode” and will automatically send at the chosen time.

12. Clone Broadcasts

  • To reuse a successful broadcast (e.g., for recurring VIP promotions), use the Clone feature.

  • Dynamic Filtering: Cloning maintains both the message content and the filter criteria, which updates dynamically (e.g., automatically including new VIPs).

13. View Broadcast History and Performance

  • In the Sent Messages section, review broadcast performance, including:

    • Open Rates: For email.

    • Total Messages Sent: For text and email combined.

    • Sales Generated: Revenue driven within a 14-day period post-broadcast.

Tip: Cloning can also be done from the history view to replicate and modify previous broadcasts easily.
