Checking In Customers in Shopify POS with OneShop

Check in customers using a tablet or manually in Shopify POS to trigger OneShop loyalty and text club features.

1. Two Ways to Check In a Customer

You have two options to check a customer into your Shopify POS system using OneShop:

Option A: Customer-Facing Tablet

  • Have the customer check in using their phone number on the tablet.

  • Once done, the customer is automatically added to the POS ticket.

Option B: Manual Check-In

  • If the tablet doesn’t connect properly:

    • Tap “Add Customer” in your POS.

    • Search for the customer and add them to the sale manually.


2. Verify Successful Check-In

  • You’ll know the customer is checked in when:

    • The OneShop tiles light up (Rewards & Text Club).

    • The customer appears in the upper right corner.

    • The button changes to “Remove Customer.”


3. Add Items to the Ticket

  • Before redeeming rewards, make sure to:

    • Add at least one item to the ticket.


4. Redeem Rewards and Complete the Sale

  • Tap the Rewards tile to apply available discounts.

  • Complete the checkout as usual with the applied rewards.
